Charles Starner died in Hocking County stabbing during altercation

Three people have been detained by Ohio police after a 22-year-old man was fatally stabbed over the weekend in a rented cabin.

A man was stabbed during a fight at a Logan, Ohio, Hocking Hills vacation rental cabin, according to a call the Hocking County Sheriff’s Office received on Sunday.

First responders arrived on the scene quickly and discovered a 22-year-old male with stab wounds, subsequently identified as Charles D. Starner. For treatment, he was airlifted to Grant Medical Center, where he subsequently passed away.

Detectives gathered the scene’s evidence as well as witness testimonies. They claimed to have learnt the stabbing suspect fled the scene immediately and was on his way to Fairfield County.

The Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office contacted a man and woman who had been identified as persons of interest in the case after being contacted by the Hocking County Sheriff’s Office, according to their report.

The two have been named by authorities as Sabra Sue Flagg, 21, and Isaac Tyler Pence, 20. They were brought to the Hocking County Sheriff’s Office, where detectives questioned them.

Pence was arrested and given a $1 million bond after being charged with murder.

According to court documents obtained by WOIO, Pence entered a not guilty plea at his arraignment on Monday.

On the basis of an accusation of impeding justice, Flagg was lodged in jail. She is bonded for $1 million.

She also entered a not guilty plea, according to court records.

Bryce England, 22, was also detained by authorities and accused with misbehavior at an emergency scene.

He entered a not guilty plea as well. He was held in jail on a $1,000 bond before being released after it was paid.

If their bonds are posted, the three will be placed under GPS house arrest and told not to communicate with one another.
