Paying the bill at Hell’s Kitchen is not for the faint of heart. According to the entertainment site Screen Rant, you may want to take out a small loan before deciding to eat dinner there.

On the contrary, according to The Richest , contestants on Hell’s Kitchen are paid for leaving their life’s work while being on the show. They’re paid a modest salary throughout the show, which is kind of touching since so many shows are cheap in that way.

Not only are the diners not “real” (at least in the sense that they’re not everyday, ordinary people but are somehow connected to the show), but neither is the restaurant itself. It makes sense, when you think about it. Hell’s Kitchen is a television show, after all.

But apparently on Hell’s Kitchen, yes the contestants kitchens are stocked with anything they’d wanna make for themselves, but with such long days cooking for other people, the last thing these people wanna do is cook dinner for themselves (which is probably why so many contestants were pumped when they won team dinners.
