After finishing up with Stardew Valley and teasing new projects, developer ConcernedApe, aka Eric Barone, has revealed what he’s been working on. Today, ConcernedApe made a surprise announcement for ConcernedApe’s Haunted Chocolatier, a new game set in the Stardew mold.
Now the game’s developer, Erik Barone (aka ConcernedApe) definitely has something planned to make a new mobile game and it would probably be a hit among players of Stardew Valley.
There’s no doubt ConcernedApe’s unique style will go into the new game, but we just don’t know enough to make a guess. He himself states that some themes will be very familiar to Stardew Valley players while many other parts will be completely different. Is this Tycoon + RPG? Town Sim + Tycoon? RPG + Tycoon + Sim?
Who is ConcernedApe?
ConcernedApe. ConcernedApe is Eric Barone, the creator and lead developer of Stardew Valley, as well as the name of the company he founded to continue game development. From 2012 to 2019, he was the sole developer of the game (except the multiplayer networking code in 1.3) and created all art, sound effects, and music.
